At The Edge Dental, we don’t want to get to know just your mouth, we like to get to know you as a person, and so our new patient consultations involve getting the whole picture.

What is involved during your first appointment with us?

Initial appointments take longer than a usual check-up as it’s the first time we see the patient. We carry out a full assessment, which can take around an hour, so make sure you’ve booked out enough time! The appointment involves a full oral cancer check, dental and gum health check, x-rays and clinical photographs. This is your time to discuss your concerns about your oral health or the appearance of your teeth, in your own time in a relaxed and calm environment.

You will be given all your options, with the risks and benefits of any treatments, with a clear breakdown of costs involved. You have the option to have a full report of the findings of your consultations, identifying any potential problems, with information and advice on how to look after your teeth at home.
