Invisalign

Invisalign Symbol 300x83With Invisalign, you can achieve a straight and even smile with clear, comfortable aligners. Unlike traditional braces which are visible when you smile, these aligners are practically invisible when worn so there’s no need to feel self-conscious during the treatment. Most people won’t even notice that you are having straightening treatment unless you tell them.

Why choose Invisalign?

Removable

As you have the freedom to take the aligners out, there’s no need to change your diet. You can remove them for any special occasions, just as long as you wear them for at least 20 hours a day to get the maximum impact.

Clear

Many people miss out on receiving the orthodontic treatment they need because of the way braces look. Invisalign banishes this concern as the aligners are so subtle.

Comfortable

As the aligners are made using accurate 3D scans of your mouth, they are made to fit perfectly and snugly. We make sure there is no rubbing or discomfort.

How does it work?

Rather than using wires and brackets to encourage movement, Invisalign uses a series of aligners. Each pair of aligners will move your teeth a small amount, then you move onto the next series after two weeks. How many aligners you need will depend on how much movement your teeth will need to take in order to reach their new straight position.

What does the treatment involve?

The first stage of the treatment involves us taking impressions of your teeth. These are used to create models of your teeth, which are then digitally scanned at the practice.

These scans are sent to the Invisalign lab where your aligners are manufactured. All the aligners that you’ll need are made from the scans and are sent to the practice. When you come in for your fitting, we’ll talk you through the process and the order of the aligners.

As your treatment progresses, we’ll be in touch to keep an eye on things. If there are any concerns, we are always around to help. Your routine dental care doesn’t stop either so we will still be seeing you for check-ups and hygiene visits.

Towards the end of your treatment, we’ll take impressions of your teeth so we can create a custom-made retainer. Teeth have a habit of shifting out of position after the treatment is completed and a retainer makes sure your smile stays straight.
