The Edge Dental – Do you need an Emergency Dentist?

13th July 2020

blog inner thumb : The Edge dental

The Edge Dental, a dentist in Alderley Edge, is a concept developed by two dentists that were conscious that dentists sometimes had a daunting reputation. They realised that many people felt uncomfortable about seeing the dentist and some people even dreaded it so much that they would put off having necessary dental treatment.

They wanted to create a friendly, relaxed and welcoming dental practice that people would feel completely happy to visit. This, they believed, was the first step in reducing dental anxiety and dental phobias.

Our small and inviting dental practice serves the community of Alderley Edge, Wilmslow and the surrounding areas. Patients will not be left in overcrowded waiting areas for their dental appointments, and they will have the undivided attention of the friendly and professional team.

The ethos of the practice is to promote honest dialogue between dentists and patients and to promote a better understanding of good oral health for their patients and the community as a whole.

Emergency Dental Care

The Edge Dental knows that life is full of surprises and we are currently facing unprecedented times with the arrival of Covid 19. Dental emergencies still occur and the practice knows these emergencies are not always within usual dental practice opening times. This is why The Edge Dental offer an out of hours dental emergency service in Alderley Edge, Wilmslow and surrounding areas such as Knutsford, Macclesfield and Cheadle. This service is for dental emergencies at unsociable times of day and includes bank holidays.

Emergency Appointment – What to Expect?

Ninety five percent of the patients that call for an emergency dental appointment are seen by the dentist within two hours of their call. The dentist will ascertain what the best line of treatment is for your dental emergency. You will be made to feel at ease and they will make sure you are not in pain. Dental emergencies include anything from a loose filling, a chipped or broken tooth or severe toothache. They are there to help you to get back to your normal self once more.

E – Consultation

In this difficult period, The Edge Dental are also offering e-consultations. This might be a consideration if you are nervous about seeing the dentist, don’t feel ready to travel just yet, want some more information about your options or are just short on time. Whatever the reason for it, you can book your e-consultation right now.

If you have a dental emergency, you can contact The Edge Dental by What’s App or by email or by phone on 01625 599 001 or 07808 529 208.
