Dr Carly Dixon

Dr Carly Dixon is a Consultant in Paediatric Dentistry at Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital and an Honorary Senior Clinical Lecturer in Paediatric Dentistry at the University of Manchester. She is a Specialist in Paediatric Dentistry with over 10 years’ experience dedicated to the oral healthcare of children and young people.

Carly provides specialist and multidisciplinary care for infants, children and adolescents with a wide range of dental conditions, including dental trauma, developmental dental anomalies, complex restorative needs, dental anxiety, and the management of children with additional medical, physical and behavioural needs. She is committed to delivering compassionate, evidence-based care and creating positive dental experiences that support lifelong oral health.

Alongside her clinical practice, Carly is involved in undergraduate and postgraduate education and research in Paediatric Dentistry at the University of Manchester. She holds a Master of Research (MRes), is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (FHEA), and has published widely in peer-reviewed journals. Her research interests include dental trauma, paediatric behaviour management, cleft lip and palate, and improving access to oral healthcare for children and young people.

Carly regularly presents her work at national and international scientific meetings and is passionate about improving the oral health and wellbeing of children through high-quality clinical care, education and research.
