Uzma Khawaja graduated from King’s College London in 2011 before continuing further training in oral surgery and maxillofacial duties as a senior house officer in South London.
In 2011, Uzma was announced runner-up for the highly prestigious University of London Gold Medal for Dentistry. She then went on to achieve her MFDS (Membership of the Faculty of Dental Surgery) from the Royal College of Surgeons in Edinburgh.
Since qualifying, she has been practising in Cheshire, London, Leicestershire and Stoke-on-Trent. Uzma has always had an interest in surgical dentistry, so she completed her master’s in dental implantology at Manchester University in 2019. Uzma now focuses on providing patients with dental implants using leading manufacturers and continues to add to her skills by attending world-class courses and conferences around the world.
Uzma says the most satisfying part of her job is treating people who suffer from nerves and anxiety – helping them overcome their fear of the dentist’s chair.
